Excellent representation of SPP 100+ at EWSHM 2024

From June 10th to 13th, 2024, the 11th European Workshop on Structural Health Monitoring took place in Potsdam, Germany, marking a successful gathering of experts and professionals in the field. The SPP 100+ initiative made a significant impact at this prestigious international conference with various contributions.

A highlight of the event was a keynote address by the coordinator, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Steffen Marx from the Institute of Concrete Structures at TU Dresden. On June 12th, he captivated the audience with his presentation titled "100 Years Additional Lifetime for Bridges - How Is It Possible?".

In addition to the keynote, a special session titled "SPP 100+: Extending Structure Life via Intelligent Digitization" was organized, featuring 19 speakers, predominantly from the SPP 100+ team, along with three esteemed external guests. They shared their innovative research and insights on extending the lifespan of structures through intelligent digitization.

Among the noteworthy achievements, Mr. Daniel Andrés Arcones, an outstanding member of our team, was nominated for the Best Student Award. We extend our best wishes to him for this prestigious honor.
